Smile Steering wheel - nice option

Thought I'd post a picture of the 968CS steering wheel retrofitted to my 944 - since I'm real pleased with it. A few folks have preceded me in this, Tom Pultz, WGSean... and I'd like to thank you both for the leads etc. The wheel is part number 968-347-084-00-8YR and fits my '89 at least with no special adaptation.

I've had this wheel for close to four years now and it gets better with age as the leather takes on a nice patina.

Nice wheel, what diameter is it?

It also looks perfectly round with the steering column positioned at the center of the hoop so it spins centered. Unlike the stock '85.5+ 944/951 steering wheels with the offset pivot which makes the hoop hop up and down as you turn the wheel...

Danno,
It's 14" O/D, true round and the pivot point is right in the center. Maybe see you on Saturday at the Soledad bash.
