1. Find a crazy hobo.
2. Tell the crazy hobo: "That man called the cops on you", or "That man took your chease".
3. Watch insuing hilarity.

Note: This works best with a stabbing hobo.

I'm still chuckling at the thought of a pickaxe sticking out of the perpetrators hood...thanks Tabor...king of "3 step methods."

If the evidence is overwhelming (i.e. marks line up perfectly and importantly, the corner of his side molding shows scuffing), I'd speak with him...**** retentive or not. Don't be surprised if he denies it. What do you expect from someone who has scuff marks/chips on the corner edge of his door? But at least you put him on notice.

Next time you walk through a parking lot, take a look at the edge of doors to get an idea on just how many inconsiderate turds are doing the denting. The ones who stick in my mind are those overweight, unagile, old ladies who toss or kick her full size American car door open like you'd slam a door in your house. Then they swing their legs out and lean on the door to get their balance. Their door, now firmly implanted into yours, provides the needed stability. A short shuffle, a swing of the door shut, and a waddle into the beauty parlor completes the sequence. Meanwhile, nice paint chips from the edge of her door whaft through the air while the dent area in your once smooth panel cools off from the cold working it just endured....

where's my damn pickaxe??!!!

Mike

This is absolutely insane. I don't know who is the bigger idiot here in this story... the mom or the kid, I am assuming this is a kid by the action taken.

If I damaged someone elses property like that in front of my Mom she would have kicked a dent in me.... well maybe not literally but she certainly would not have cheered me on because of an unfortunate event that happend to her in the past.

I have often wondered how these people get the way they are and now it is painfully obvious...
they are a product of poor parental supervision and upbringing. sheeesh. <img src="graemlins/soapbox.gif" border="0" alt="[soapbox]" /> </strong><hr></blockquote>

1: It was a junky old Volvo in extremly bad shape.

2: I´m no kid.

3: I had to crawl into my car from the passenger side to losen the hand brake and then push it out uphill from the parking space and then quickly let go of the car and reach for the handbrake so that it would not roll back. Then walk around it and get in it. All this because I wasn´t able to open the door because the Volvo was to close.

4: If anyone wants to cut my foot of they are not likely to succeed. If you get to know me you will understand why...

4: Pick axe, now thats extreme and very violent.

When I was going to school at the Univ. of North Carolina, a sorority chick badly dinged my friend's car. He called the university police, who went and got her out of a class! She was aghast.... The cops wrote her up... She paid for the damage... And I bet she never again carelessly bashed anyone else's car.

Your best bet is probably to call the cops and file a police report. Confront the guy, with the legal system as your backup. If these are dings, a paintless dent removal expert should be able to remove them for a reasonable charge. You might take him to small claims court if he refuses to pay.
