Post repair drivers mirror

More on my repairs!
----

My drivers side mirror has no glass part in it.

It was broken and the whole insert came out.

I had a hard time trying to get it to pop back in.

Anyone know how to get this fixed?

If the glass is gone chances are the white plastic mounting piece is gone or broken. This is a small length piece of plastic with holes on each end.You may find that the gears are missing also.My car was missing the glass and I ended up at a salvage yard for the parts.Be careful putting the glass back on.At the bottom is a slot with a notch in it.The ring on the glass will turn and click when intstalled properly.Hope this helps.

I got a new mirror from a friend's parts car and I broke both peices of glass trying to get it to snap into the mirror body.

It would snap in then pop out.

So I guess how do I get it to snap in and stay in?
