Post Where is the cycling valve located? (Picture)

Hi!

After reading about overboost problems on the board, I think that a bad cycling valve could be the source of my problems. The only problem is that I don't know what it is exactly and where it is located. Here is a picture of where I should look for it... Could somebody explain me or edit the picture and upload it back in order to show where it is located and what to look for in order to know if it's broken or not working properly?

Thanks alot guys... And sorry for my bad english.

You are at the wrong end of the intake manifold in that picture. Look down between the #3 and #4 runners for a round, beige cylinder with 3 or 4 vacuum (sp?) lines coming off it. It is very hard to get to thru the intake manifold. I've got pics with an arrow pointing to it, but alas, they are on the home PC and I'm at work.
back to work..

good luck

Here's what the cycling valve looks like:

It appears to be the same unit as used on the Ferrari F40:

BTW, the F40 also uses the same Brembo brake-calipers as the 951 .

Here is where it's located on the 951. Looking from the passenger-side of the engine-bay with the intake-manifold removed:

Cool

Here's a pic with the intake manifold in place. As to how to test it or find out if that is your problem, I'll leave that to the gurus..
