Sonny boy, I've owned & driven these cars for over eight years. When you make BS claims about your 200hp mods, and the car being faster than a Turbo, you f%^Kin' well should expect to get ragged on. When you misrepresent any car to that extent, it don't matter one little bit what "your situation is." You're flat out lying to mislead a potential customer and satisfy your own greed. The only "DUMBASS" I see in this thread is _you_...

Jim, wondering if Portnoy will return your brain when it's full....

Yeah, they all looked, but only one has bid. I bet it was all Rennlisters taking a peek for a laugh.

"I'll never tell'll"

This is too funny... I can't believe he came here. It's like getting caught passing notes in school <img src="graemlins/oops.gif" border="0" alt="[oops]" />

One thing concerns me though... but If you were to know the situation I was in, you wouldn't be talking sh*t. So why don't you just mind your own business and stop disturbing my business

So is this an admission that he realizes the claims are false, but that he is in a position of having no other choice? I believe there's a word for that, but I won't go there... someone else may if they choose. Hint: think of the guy who's bidding, not the seller... no one deserves a raw deal...

Now, for the more important stuff:

[quote]Originally posted by my944:<strong>"Will I get an additional 20 horsepower by adding racing stripes?"</strong><hr></blockquote>

Yes, definitely! While not well known in these circles, the addition of two wide deck stripes the length of the car adds approximately 7.5HP per 1,000 lbs of vehicle curb weight.

(- bonus points given to those who know the true origination of deck-stripes)

Isn't posting on your own listing to set or drive the price up against some bylaw of Ebay? At best is is not ethical. There always seems to be a compelling reason to screw another person, I don't buy it.

I was under the impression that an 'S' decal was worth at least 22.05 rwhp! Please someone out there - let me know if cleaning the decal once applied will increase HP to 22.75 and lower the drag coefficient!

STOP!!! Hopefully I caught you in time... DO_NOT clean the decal... you will most certainly negate any gains by not leaving it in the original matte finish.

Sheesh... that was close

Hey, it's Friiiiidaaaaaay... what else would I be doing?

Talking

This is beautiful!!
What a sap! <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
Who does he thing he's fooling?
This is just the kind of stuff that got the rice boy thing going.
The blue hose clamp must be worth 5 hp.
The K & N filter, WITH FILTERCHARGER must be worth 15 - 20 hp <img src="graemlins/drink.gif" border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" />
The real big boost, though, comes from that purple box with the phony aero-quip line. It is a supercharger mass-flow filter plate! This little gadget is guaranteed to give you 50 gen-yoo-wine horsepower
Don't forget - the loose nut on the throttle cam is also a performance upgrade. By leaving the nut loose there are no restrictions on what this engine can do!! <img src="graemlins/a_smil17.gif" border="0" alt="[blabla]" />

Put me in for $2000. This car is definitely twice the value of my 944. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

I can't wait to start dusting those ******* in their Turbos with my new super na! <img src="graemlins/r.gif" border="0" alt="[king]" />

you guys should feel bad....i believe this guy....this is a fellow porsche owner....a 944 owner at that.....we should be helping him out...its hard to tell what type of situation he is in.... <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

and Jack Daniels worked on the car...JACK DANIELS.....if we all had a little Jack in our cars, i bet we could smoke some 951...and if you have a 951 with some Jack, i would feel sorry for those Vipers

no 944 makes space goes crazy <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" /> <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

The claims are not true..the car does not have 200hp, no ****. What do you care anyway..all of you went through all this trouble making a forum and emailing me. Just tells me most of you are pathetic losers who are going through a middle age crises and jerk off to f*cking your own sisters. I don't know if you realize though, but I also wrote in the description that it depends how you drive the car..If you're a ****ing idiot, and don't know how to drive I will outrun you in a f*cking yugo. So is this car faster than a turbo, If I'm behind the wheel, I'll take most of you turbo 944 owners. By the way, TaboII, maybe you should consider hooked on phonics..DUMBASS!!

I forgot to mention one thing.. Beab951..about what you said: "Isn't posting on your own listing to set or drive the price up against some bylaw of Ebay? At best is is not ethical. There always seems to be a compelling reason to screw another person, I don't buy it." I'm sure it is but I wouldn't know anything about that though, BUT, what is illegal and this is for everyone out there listening..It is illegal to email my customers and tell them not to buy my product, It's a little something called Defamation of Character. Maybe you idiots heard of it.

Oh yeah guys, I'd like to clarify a few points made earlier.
1st: A 200hp 944 would probably be quicker than pre turboS 951s. So one would ask, why isnt the 944S almost as quick? Answer, the gearing is not the same as on an 8v (right? I know the tranny was stronger but cant remember if it was geared taller) and it lacks in low to mid range torque. I quote the British mag "MotorSport" from a road test (which focused on the S's low torque) in the late eighties: ".... the 16-valve car taking 7.4 seconds to cover the 30-50mph increment in fourth (6.2 seconds for the Lux) and 8.8 seconds to cover 50-70mph in fifth (against 8.4 seconds)." "The wonderfully deep-chested shove from low revs of the eight-valve car just never materializes." (it goes on bashing the poor S for being a softie in low-mid range revs, but praises its high rev punch).
So, it would suffice to say that an 8v n/a with 200 hp and a respectevly increased torque figure (about 200) combined with an 8/v tranny probably would trump a pre 951S turbo. The gearing is much shorter on an n/a and would result in higher speed.
