never heard of this exotic car place. and Jim I worked 2 summers at PKI (parmount kings Island) as a food vender (from carts) and not the ones you sit at but the ones were you push 200lbs of lemonade in the burning hot sun for 6-10 hours. (around $10/hr though but thats because it was the worst job ever)

Yeah, I wouldn't wish some of those high turnover jobs like ride operators or food vendors on antbody, but the ride and equipment maintenance jobs are different. Some of them are pretty desirable jobs.

*cough* my summer job was/will always be telemarketing...at least until i graduate *cough*
Lately its been business to business lead generation, so no actual sales. I used to be the Verizon Long Distance rep! Hope I didn't cause anybody too much pain.

I think Stephen is talking about Austin Imports on SR 73 behind McDonald's/Long John Silver's in Springboro (Riley's Furniture and NCL in the vicinity). I don't think they would be interested in any help, especially just for summer, but I have dealt with Dave (owner) and Jerad (parts guy) before. For anyone close by who is interested they are fairly competitive on some parts, do good work and are great guys. I go by there sometimes just to check out the cool stuff in their lot. A Lotus Espirit here, an old Jag there........

I forgot to mention this before, but last summer while I was at work a guy came in a triple black 993. I made sure to catch him before he left, and I ended up talking to him for a few minutes. Turns out he was a rennlist member! "jhb" is his name, from the 993 board.
If anyone else ever plays at Shaker Hills, check and see if I'm working, although if your in you p-car I'll be sure and seek you out.

Tips,,,tips are the thing to get. Try to ask the people who already work where you want to and see how the tips are treated. Some places will tax you for 15% of all the receipts for the tables you handle automatically. That kinda' sucks because people will stiff you. Some places make you pool all tips to be split amongst the wait staff. That's also not necessarily good, cause the slugs will get just as much as the folks who hustle. But some places still do it the old fashioned way. You keep your tips, and you report how much you get. . Now understand that according to federal law, you MUST report 100% of your tips and businesses are under a LOT of pressure these days to insure that you do. BUT,,in my state at least,,if you are in a job in which you may reasonably expect to receive tips, you are exempt from minimum wage. The going hourly rate for wait staff around here is @ $2.00. So it sorta' puts you in the position of being an independant contracter with your customers. And $1 untaxed feels a lot more like $1.50. But you do what feels right to you,,and good luck. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
