New 951 to the "Family"!
Last week i finally received my California 1987 951. She's got 95,000 miles on her and has been well cared for. Last owner spent almost $15,000 in upgrades and maintenance over the last 10,000 miles - too many to list. I have noticed that the car rides on the rough side due to the wonderful roads that we have in Michigan. I know the car has adjustable Koni's on the back and the rubber is due for replacement. My question is, how much of a difference would loosening the Koni's and new/softer rubber (current tires are 6 years old - hard as bricks) make on the ride quality?
Also, for those with the cat back exhaust and test pipe install, does your car have a loud rumble. The car is very loud, not ricey or too obnoxiuos, but pretty damn loud.
Thanks! I'm excited to finally be in the "Family".
Jason

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome aboard. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
I have a B&B testpipe, not too loud, sounds great.

Congrats on the purchase! I would love to have a 951 at some point also, I live just north of Grand Rapids, so I totally understand about the road problems. it helps to have newer softer tires on our problematic roads....

Congrats on your new ride! I don't have experience with the rear shocks but I just adjusted my front shocks yesterday and I can't belive how much of a difference it made. It feels more like a normal car now.
