Question Best Performance/Body Part Company...

Who is the best based on personal experiences.? I've heard a lot of good things about Broadfoot, GTR, AIR, ect. Which company is the best though.? I'm looking into modding my car body and performance-wise and I'm just wondering.

Modify the driver first. Get thee to a driving school. Cheapest (and most fun) go-fast mod there is.

You may think your gods gift to the road but when you do your first hour of driver training you soon realize you don't know squat. It will also help identify which areas of your car need improving.

You're in California? Go to a Porsche club (or BMWCCA) school at Laguna Seca. I'm jealous just thinking about experiencing the corkscrew.

When deciding on a body kit the best thing to look at is which one offers the largest raw HP increase.
I know that adding an AIR front splitter will bag you like 10 HP but I have seen reports on here of the BF full front nose piece bumping some cars a full 20 HP and 15 ft./lbs of torque.

Maybe someone can post some dyno sheets showing the difference in gains with different body pieces installed.

OK, realistically, I was told that getting 7 pounds out of the car is like adding 1 HP.

on that note *seriously as well* If you want to mod your car go fiberglass panels and you will notice a huge difference in power/weight ratio, and a lightening of the wallet too

Well. I guess I really don't know squat. '= I didn't know that kits added HP.? Is it the less weight plus less wind resistence that adds the HP, because then that would make more sense.?

if you wish to upgrade to a turbo nose - I have a fiberglass turbo bumper that goes with the lip and vented header panel as one peace. I see you're local, so you can stop by and take a look.

FreSSSSSSSSSSSSSh,

I think that they are teasing you. Nothing that you do to the body of the car will make any difference to the HP shown on a dyno. As mentioned you may reduce resistance or weight making the car faster around a track but ultimately there is no engine performance gained by altering your body panels.

Oh, poo. Now he'll never go for the can of elbow grease. Or the left handed adjustable metric wrench. And is he really gonna believe me now when I tell him about cheese-head bolts?
