Glad to hear everything is in and works great! Crutchfield is awesome, I went to college in the same town as their warehouse and get most of my stuff from there as well.

Not sure about a "blank out" plate, but there are a few center console storage compartments for sale on ebay at around $10-20. That's what I have, no point in wasting that space back there completely. (Other alternatives are guages, 968 clock, etc.)

No not under the radio. Where the fader switch was there is supposedly a blank out plate for it. That fills the hole up. I would like one of those.

The headunit is absolutely awesome. I don't want to stop driving the car. Bluetooth and everything work great. I just don't know where to run the iphone/ipod cable yet? Under the center console or somewhere else I'm not sure.

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood. You can get those on ebay too, I just saw one labeled as "Porsche 944 951 Center Console Switch Blank," or I'm sure a bunch of the guys parting out there cars would have one or two lying around. Be careful which one you order, though, the ones on the edges have mounting tabs that are slightly different than those for the center, and they are not interchangeable.

As far as where to run the iphone cable, i ran mine under the center console to the ashtray (had to drill a small hole). The ashtray holds my iphone perfectly, so it was a good spot, and inconspicuous when not in use.
