Post Clutch master & slave

For anyone about to do this job.

I replaced both today and it wasn't that hard a job at all. The slave cylinder is easy to get out and replace. Be sure to have a 12mm flare nut wrench so as not to round off the hydraulic line fitting if it's tight. Definitely have a universel joint for your ratchet or you will NEVER get the 13mm nuts off to remove the clutch master. A magnetic wand to retrieve the nut after you drop them (and you will) will also come in handy. Last, be VERY careful removing the blue hose from the brake fluid resevoir or you can break the fitting the blue hose connects to. Ask me how I know.

So...who has the best price on a new brake fluid resevoir? Zim's lists it around $65, Paragon doesn't list it on their site but I'm going to call them tomorrow. As a last resort I'll check the dealer.

Why is it that I only break hard to get parts on Sunday?

Pete, you haven't done the hard part yet. Wait till you bleed the system. I can bring over the beer for you when you start (to drown your sorrows and ease your frustration, as it is a b*tch). Sam Adams or Guinness?

PS. At least it will be nice to see a p-car in person. Mine seems to have taken up permanent residence at Farler Performance......
