Post Door is hard to close

That's basically it, the doors on my car are quite hard to close. What can cause this? Door stays?

Your door latches and straps probably need lithium grease. The actual handles themselves could probably use some also in the internals.

well what's sticking? are the hinges hard to move all through the motion or is it just hard to latch? Is maybe some weather stripping out of place & jamming things up?

Take out the door stop thru the speaker hole. Bend the little tabs to open it and clean out the gook and re-grease. Grease the hinges too and the door will open & close effortlessly. Worked for me.

I'll try re-greasing to see if that helps

i found that there is a plastic piece that needs to be screwed down further (opposite of 'up', i.e., lengthened) so it can move the latch to open the door. if it's too high, then it won't release properly. if it's too low, it won't close properly. i found this out because my door was sticking after i had to remove the handle to get the code off of the barrel to make new keys. to get into there you have to remove the entire door panel and peel back the plastic underneath (carefully) and it also helps to remove the lock/closing mechanism on the side of the door, i forget which size allen it is, but it helps if you can move stuff around in there to get at one of the two plastic pieces (it's the bigger one). either way, if you only need lubricant, you're in luck.

My doors also stick. I was noticing that the allen holding the stays on were loose. Could that be the cause?

Actually, the allens holding the door strap (2 on the jamb and 2 inside the door) are known to come loose, causing that nasty "snapping" sound which can end up cracking your door strap supports if not tightened in time.

A good practice is to keep the doors open the least possible and to NEVER lean on them.
