Post slightly OT:busted windsheild

So i took out the S the other day for the first time in a couple weeks and there is a crackin the windsheild. Well, it was cool out and I needed to make a run to a freinds house and that involves a 1 mile stint on the local expressway. I can just hit 100-110 if I stay on it hard the whole way once i get on the onramp. Well, I was moving throught the gears and every time I shifted the crack inthe windsheild got around a foot longer!!! I actually watched it for a moment, it was like watching a sharpie marker go across the glass! So now I have a bifocal windscreen!!! Call me Ben.
Time to make a glass shop very happy.

I just had mine replaced by Safelite.. It cost me the $100 deductible on my insurance BUT, if I wasn't covered the bill would have been $511

$535 is great Kev...but if you had the later car with the built in windshield antenna, the bill would be closer to $900, or so I have been told!
Blah! Hate the built in antenna!

No my top speed is not 110...LOL I was only on the highway for about a mile that's including the entrance ramp accelleration as well as giving time to slow down for a 25MPH off ramp I can get to about 110 in that time/space.
I have never topped it out, there really isn't anywhere to do that safely here.
Maybe one day I'll get crazy and hit the 3 mile straight ont he highway a few miles from here and stretch her out. I honestly just don't feel too safe driving that car to it's limits as I think they are beyond my abilities at this point. I ma a good driver, above average iw ould say, as would most people who know me and have ridden with me sideways. But I dont think I have good enough reaction to drive that car on a highway at 140-145 MPH.
I could see the situation now...hitiing 130 passing through it and suddenly a deer decides it's a good time to die and take out a Porsche and me in doing so.
Not that 110 in a short stretch is much safer but I feel more in control at that speed.
Now Im rambling. Sorry. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

Me too, I find long-distance reception is very poor compared to my other car. Anyone else notice this?
