Post 944 body advice

I was looking at the vented nose pannel(the one between the headlights) Will a pannel to fit the 944 turbo, 924 turbo, etc. fit on a 944na? I don't see any difference, but I figure there could be a difference in the mounting points possibly. If this does not fit, I am thinking of having one possibly cut for vents since mine is sort of bent (minor non-intentional midifications).

The car needs painted anyway, so I'm thinking of doing this and getting a fiberglass piece from gt-racing (part#241), but have no idea what lights it uses and gt-racing is no help there. Any thoughts?

It's between that and the snub-nose look (which is highly considerable since it's anout $450 cheaper!)

also, would anyone know where to get a 968 wing? i'd assume it will fit a 944na hatch, and there is no better look for the back end.

I believe the nose panel from the NA and the Turbo differ but don't know in which ways, if any. Don't know about the 924 panel though.

The 924 Turbo vented header will not fit a 951. The header from a 924 Turbo is an exact fit for the early 944. I just fitted one. BTW, it's quite functional, reduces operating temps and increases cool air to the intake.

At least that's my rationalization for doing it. Besides, I think it looks trick too.

I got the nose panel on an Ebay auction. I'm not certain but you might find that these panels are not terribly expensive new from Porsche or used/salvage. The fiberglass header panels that I've seen don't seem to fit right.

In any case, the real expense will be in the preparation and paint job.

Good luck.

i think that the 951's is a little longer than the 944's. Atleast the headlight covers are so if they differ, thats how, i think speed force racing cuts them for you for about 150 bucks. I know someone does it, just not sure if its them but check anyways, not too expensive.
