Ammonia based cleaner like windex and a plastic scraper like an old credit card.

Pealing off the mylar leaves the adhesive. Use the windex and scraper to do a small area at a time.

Portable steamer.. (like the portable items sold to travelers for de-wrinkling clothes). Gives you heat and moisture - should loosen things up enough that it just peels off like it was installed.

I haven't actually Tried this, but have heard several people comment on the effectivness.

Best of luck...

Soapy water in a spray bottle, a razor blade and a lot of patience-nothing works fast on this stuff. Rear defroster will be a bear.

When my car got burglarized I bought a quarter window with tint on it, soaked it in hot soapy water for 15-20 min. and it scraped right off.

I had that on a Mustang (misguided youth) and almost hit a bicyclist one night, came up on my side at a stop and I almost turned over him.

I really don't like that stuff anymore.

I know what you mean, in the dark and rain, I worry about backing up , especially in the mall parking lot, too easy to hit someone. I know what i will be doing saturday
