Default lumpy idle

Guys I have noticed over time that my car does not start well from cold. It fires up but then the revs drop to almost a stall then it idles up to 1200 on the tach before it settles into an idle at @900. I also notes that when slowing by lifting off the gas it slows but not smoothly, almost like it drags then lets go. This happens when coming down from highway speeds. Vacuum leak ??? your thoughts...

My car does the same thing when starting... runs really rough for a second then picks up to 1200 or so before it settles out.

I replaced the o2 sensor today, not sure if it did much for that issue, but like he said if its really old its probably a good plan to replace it.

We suffer from this too. It actually seems better now that the temps are a bit cooler than in the mid summer. I have a new ISV to throw in to see if that helps. I did clean it when we changed the belts but that didn't help.

keep me posted on what you figure to be the problem. I will let you know when I change the o2 sensor.
