Unhappy Head gasket/oil cooler

Did a little bit of investigating on the oil leak. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> Unfortunately it looks like it is either the head gasket or oil cooler. Passenger side of engine is bone dry until get around the oil pan. Driver side however is wet from pretty much the head down. Opened up the coolant reservoir and there is the presence of the dreaded milkshake. I should have the Jetta soon so I can start tearing into it. Kinda depressing. But such is life. I will keep you guys posted on the progress.

Good luck. Not a hard job, just time consuming.

Hey Chris, when ya get that Jetta, and your ready to tear into the 944,and if you need a covered area (garage) to work on it, I can offer my place and assistance on a saturday or something. I also have a pressure washer to clean up that engine bay with. Let me know. Now get that Jetta!
