I do not have the hood on my car, so I cannot check. I need to make my bracket for my Optima, and would like to mount it upright. Will the terminals miss the hood?

If not, I can do it on it's side. Please inform ASAP as I will be in the garage in 1 hour.

I have one and it's mounted with the red top to the side with a custom made bracket. Done by a PO, but I can tell it's custom done. It holds steady as a rock though!

You can barely see it at the top of the image that the battery is on the side. No idea about clearance with the top up though....

I have a yellow one and it is on its side because the terminals hit the hood.
