So I've been lurking around online and cant seem to get a definitive answer in either direction.
I know that many of the same parts (a- arms, bosche electrics, etc.) are used throughout audi vw and porsche. But will a early 80s jetta inner tie rod work on my 83 manual steering 944?
Pictures ive come across arent detailed enough to be sure. But it looks the same. Maybe my optimism is skewing my judgement here, but the jetta one is in stock at my parts stores and the "porsche" one isnt ( not to mention the price mark up....). Any knowledge or experiences is much appreciated.
Thanks

My memory is jarred.... For a manual rack on early offset car use Moog EV-271 with a Late 944 Power Steering outter tie-rod (m14 x 1.5 female).

No adapter needed unless you are building a bump steer kit at the spindles (lowering or dropping X-member for a V8 install)....

And for you guys that are putting a manual rack on a 87-up Late offset you can use Moog EV-378 and a power steering outer tie rod.....![burnout](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/burnout.gif)
Now If I can just find a substitute for that damn tranny speed sensor LOL.
