Funny huh, AFM adapter for Toyota $13 with cone filter , AFM adapter for Porsche with no filter $150 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> both made from same material and same basic size and shape. I did a complete write up on rennlist on how to do it and where to get parts. I'll see if I can find it.

You will need to drill 4 new holes in the adapter to line up with the AFM on your car. I also routed out part of the inside to allow the most air flow.

This is the filter adapter after modification.

This is it attached to AFM. I used 4 new bolts that were much shorter than the original bolts from AFM. You can get these at any hardware store.

I just recieved my Forerunner conefilter and adapter that I won on eBay from the same seller as Ringo951. The adapter that came with mine was plastic w/cork gasket, not metal as shown above. Should this be a cause for concern?

WARNING!! <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" /> DO NOT ORDER THE TOYOTA FORERUNNER CONE FILTER W/ADAPTER

The adapter that I purchased through eBay from f1sports that is for the Toyota Forerunner is plastic and it will not properly fit the stock AFM of my '88 951. It is not the same adapter that is pictured on the auction page. I have emailed the seller to try to get a metal adapter as it looks like it will fit with minor alterations, but so far they say that they don't have any of the metal adapters "at this time".
