Post some wheel questions

just found out that the reason for a steering wheel shake i've had for the past three or so months is because of a bent wheel.
i don't suppose anybody has a cookie cutter just lyin' around.
i checked ebay, and i'll could find was a set of four for 200 bucks. i don't really want to spend that much now because i'm going to get larger wheels here sometime soon.
regarding that though, anybody had any experiance with the millie miglias. i heard somewhere they were heavier than the factory wheels. i also heard that wheel spacers will put a bunch of stress on your hubs if you use the late offset. if thats true, i don't feel comfortable at all using those

thanks guys,
adios

btw, anybody on the west coast or mid east, avoid les shuab like the plague. they told me the reason i had a wheel shake was balance, thats makes sense to me,and thats what i thought it was too. so i pay them to balance my wheels, and i take it for a spin, and the shake is still there. i take they car back in, they balance the wheels a second time, and find a huge bulge in the front drivers side. tough to see, but really easy to feel if you run your hand on them like they are supposed to. they recomend a new set of tires because they buldge is definatly the reason i have a shake. not really trusting them, i ask a few other people and the best they could come up with was that something was loose in the front end. i had it checked, and everything was tight and strait, and the guy that checked it (a german car shop) said the wheels were not balanced. 350 bucks later, the wheel still shakes and for ****s and giggles, i take it in for a balance. nope, the balance is perfect on all except three. thats because its bent. how do you manage to balance the tires twice, change the tires, balance them again, and miss the fact that my F***ing wheel is out of round, and wobbly. morons

I am sorry to hear about that but you are not alone........we all share your pain.....

Car was pulling hard to the right for some time, had alignment done 2X only to find out that the right tire was for some reason worn into a different diameter enough for the car to pull??? Replacing the 2 front tires elimenated the pull, however this was after about 200 worth of "inspections" and alignments. Do they test drive the car after working on it is a common question I often ask myself?
