I am having a hard time getting the windshield trim to stay on the car. Once I get over 70ish, it starts coming off.
It was removed when the car was fully painted earlier this year, but even before that, it was coming off at speed.
I tried some 3M windhield adhesive (the ribbon stuff) all that did was make a huge mess.
Not sure why the trim will not stay in place....

Is it the factory windshield trim that snaps into a channel around the glass (side profile looks sort of like a "T") or aftermarket that goes under the edge of the glass (side profile sort of looks like an "h"). If it's the factory trim, inspect the channel and make sure it's free of debris and is good shape. Buy new trim. If it's aftermarket, then clean out the groove that fits over the edge of the glass and use some trim adhesive in the groove. The edge of the glass needs to be clean too.

My old 88 had this issue on one corner of the trim. Would always pop out when driving at any sort of speed. A thin coat of 3M emblem adhesive on the front part where it lays against the glass fixed it right up.
