Hi - my 951 has got idle probs. Started as high speed idle, now developed to include 'hunting' at regular intervals. Porsche dealer reckons they've found that the idle control isn't (duh), but they need to pull the inlet manifold off to find any and all parts needed to resolve. Any ideas from the collective as to a 20cent DIY fix ??

i'm not exactly sure what that is, my dads driving an 85.5 944 with some idle probs as well, when you start it it idles high, above 2000, then it wants to idle normally at about 900... when the needle drops to 1000, it quickly surges back up and repeats the cycle.... we've taken everything off and cleaned it, but we cant figure out what the heck is wrong.. is it the computer?, the car runs fine at speed, with no surges, but its not idling right at all.
