Kiwi 944 Owners + 968CS picture
I'm in Auckland for a few months so I'm wondering how many New Zealand 24/44/68 owners are around. So far I've seen two 968's, an NA, and a turbo cab.
Here's something you all will enjoy. I have no idea who owns it:

Hi there - 944S2 owner here in Auckland. There are at least a couple of others I know of here in Auckland. Most hang around on the Pelican boards (mAd924, kiwi944s2 and myself under the same name). You here for work or holiday? Hopefully the weather will improve for you!

I'm pretty close to downtown - studying at the University of Auckland for a semester. Let me know if you guys get together or want some help with wrenching.
The weather's quite nice but really wet.

Hey J1NX3D - yeah we have to catch up! I haven't driven the S2 for over a month so hopefully the battery isn't flat. I've still got those bits for you in the car....
GT - I'm in Greenlane. Maybe 10-15mins from Uni

maybe we should meet up at the park outside the AUT and go for a drive out to the Coromandel, have lunch, come back?

I'm down the road in Hamilton and have a 944 NA. Luckily for me I have these guys nearby in Pirongia, and they know their front engined Porsches. Their carpark normally has a few parked in it, and their shed is full of parts and probably 20-30 Porsches in various states of being parted out (plus there are a few more out the back). Worth a look if you're ever nearby.
Hope you're enjoying your time here, and I'm sure the weather will sort itself out eventually!

Timing-wise I plan to drive my 944 up to a panelbeaters in Whangarei in a couple of weeks to get a few dings fixed. It maybe there a few weeks until I can retrieve it but when its done it should look pretty good hopefully.
How about we fix a date in mid-late November or before Xmas?
Coro coast road is awesome when empty (not often these days), horrible if you get stuck behind something. More so as you pass Waiomu because not many places to pass. But if you get a good run, it'd be a great drive at least up to the start of the dirt roads near Colville.
Or there's the Raglan run that the Porsche Club of NZ did a couple of years back. Good lunches (or brunches, or breakfasts) in Raglan and great roads too. Not such a challenging drive for Obsessed coming from Hamilton.
