Thanks guys,
I had time to prepare for this after sound started.
It seems to be differential pinions like Porschal suggested since there is no connection anymore even between driveshafts. You can't feel anything when rotating either driveshaft.
However old is out and new is wiggled in today.
Hope its good.
Take care

Opened tranny for a peek.
Here's what I found: Smaller pinions on the bottom of the case!

Bolt (005 409 177) holding the two idlers in the middle of differential was in cut. For some reason one of the smaller pinions caught bolt and cut the dowel pin.
Ring and pinion seems to be serviceable, at least one of the smaller pinions, bolt and dowel pin needs replacing along with oil pump gear. I doubt differential case is good anymore after bolt rotating in its holes.

Is later transmission similar to -86 with oil cooler? Point is can I just remove oil pump and cooler line and plug the holes or should I keep it working?
