Stupid Windshield Washer
OK, so I replaced my leaky tank and have a pump that works when I apply 12v direct to the pump. BUT when I pull the lever in the car, the wipers go, but no water. Is there a separate fuse for the pump, or is it dirty contacts/bad switch? If the wipers go when I pull the lever is it the same contacts that operate the pump circuit?
Thanks

Are you sure the pump's not working? The check valves in these things can get clogged, and make you think the pump's gone bad.
Trace the hoses backwards from the nozzles; the first fittings you come to will be the check valves. IIRC, one is a right angle fitting and the other is a tee fitting. Cheap to replace, but the hose clamps are crimp-on types that have to be cut & replaced, too.
Sorry, never had to troubleshoot the electrical part of the system, so I'm no help there.
Jim, is it soup yet?

I thoroughly cleaned out the lines, used lp air, and cleaned the nozzles with pins. Got good spray pattern when I applied 12v to the pump directly. I just can't get it to work when I used the lever in the car.
