I searched unsuccessfully
What are the minimum thickness limits on 944NA OEM rotors? Thanks.
Anybody have any pad recommendations? I've heard that Metal Masters are a good buy, and don't dust.

I have run metal master succesfully on the the track once I added 3" brake ducts. I have however just changed to KFP pads as my last set of metal masters heat glazed at previous race. The next race day after that they did not want to stop very well at all. Kind if scarry really. I replaced them with my spare set of Ferodo street pads and they were fine for next to races. Right now I will be switching before he next race and keep the Feorodos as spares.
I was going to go with Hawk Blue's, but I was told that the KFP pads are easier to modulate and work well on the low hp light weight 944. Hawk Blues are better for the faster 944 Trubos.
Seems like demands of racing vs just open track have pushed beyond the limit of the metal masters for my car and driving style.
I had 5 races on metal masters before this including one 90 min enduro and I even had plenty of pad thickness left. I guess the previous track event I really got them hot and that effected the compound. Remember my car also does not see street duty so 500 or 1000 street miles inbetween events might be enough to "clean-up" pad and prevent the glazing at the next track event.
Since I am racing now I think is much better just to upgrade the pads! Heck ever tenth of a second and foot in braking distance counts!

From the Performance Products catalog:
Front: 20.5 new, wear limit 18.5
Rear: 20.0 new, wear limit 18.6
I've been using Mintex "red box" because they are cheap and available, but they dust a bit. I have no problem with cleaning the wheels.
