Post Wanted: Used Hose Set

Heh, you don't see this kind of request very often - but does anyone (or several different people combined) have a complete set of hoses for the 951/944 (I'd imagine most are the same)? I've got a line on having some nice new fabric reinforced silicone hoses made (formed as necessary) - but I need a doner set and don't want to take my car off the road while this happens.

If I can get this to fly, it's something that everyone could buy (not from me, I'm just looking to be an end consumer) - and probably at about 1/2 the cost of OEM. They'll even make them in the nice ricey colors too... heh (I'll just buy black, thanks )

I figgure that with 15 year old cars, it's probably a good idea to replace these kinds of things. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Brian, silicone won't stand up to oil unless you are going to line the inside with something else. The oil will bleed right through the hose wall. ATF (PS fluid) would really destroy silicone. I'm not sure how it would stand up to antifreeze in the long run. What hoses are you thinking about having built?

And you would probably have to use some high class clamps to avoid cutting the silicone on high pressure applications. I think this idea would cost a small fortune even at a discount.

Looks like these are mostly coolant hoses - but this link is what I'm interested in (I know the parent company in the UK as offering Really high qualiy items).

Got the wiring harness BTW, damn - the other people posting weren't kidding about the quality. Even my non-technical GF was impressed.

Different colored hoses would make it easy to see whats been replaced. As long as they will hold up in the long run.
