Default Ever seen a special edition 944?

Check this out, for sale on CL... for $5k, a piece of 944 history:

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1940258806.html

I never knew about this model in over 15 years of 944 ownership. Like a Silver Rose interior with a coin (I have seen the coin on ebay before).

Here's a link to the specifics of the Studio Edition model:

I have heard of it as well. Either way, that is a good buy for a 44K mile car if it passes a PPI!

I'd wonder at worn seats with only 44k miles, esp when it supposedly sat for 12 yrs or whatever.

But then again, I'm a cynical bastige

They also had a 1988 924S special, the problems will be fixing the interior if there is tears in the Studio cloth witch I beleive you can only get in Germany(not sure at 100% about that)same Studio cloth was also use on the ( 951 Silver Rose edition but in bugundy colors).

There's a place in New Zealand that has it as well.

http://www.lemansautofabrics.co.nz/fabric-porsche.html

It's not on their website but I know in the past they have been able to supply.

There was a guy over on 944online with something similar (or perhaps the same model) who was in search of one of those coins for such a car. Neat looking car.

Yup. Heard of them.. Almost bought a gold, or the "non black" color they were also offered in.

I like how they hype them as "optioned to a very high spec".. which is code for .. we de-contented the base models because exchange rates were killing us, then loaded a few up with some special cloth and sold them as "celebration" editions to gullible americans

There was some guy who posted both here and Pelican a few months back about how fantastic these cars were and that he bought a worn out one and was trying to "restore" it.
