Post 944 to 951 bumper

I have an 89 944 and recently got a Tweeks catalog it has a conversion kit for 944 to 951 bumper, However it says fits 83-88 anyone know why not a 89. and also has anyone done the conversion

The conversion from tweeks is pretty expensive. I've read a couple of people doing the conversion from salvage parts.

Another option would be to check out Fiberwerks -- the make some nice front ends and the prices don't seem too bad (the rear stuff and wing %$&* looks a little gaudy) -- check out their website.

I'm not sure why they would say an '89 wouldn't work -- I didn't realize that there was any difference between the NA's in that timeframe.

Thanks for the input about tweeks, do you have the website for Fiberwerks?

Here's the link to Fiberwerks:
<a href="http://www.fiberwerks.com/prod02.htm" target="_blank">Fiberwerks 944 Page</a>

Quite different from either a standard Turbo or NA front end.

Take it or leave it....
I'll take it!

Not that pricey considering how much a 951 front bumper and two fenders would cost; even from used-parts places!

Go with fiberwerks, you won't regret it, unless you have body damage like me. The drivers side doesn't line up with the fender completely because the PO got in a fenderbender. This is the main reason why I went with fiberwerks, its less than half the price of the factory peice, plus you lose a lot of weight. If you or anyone who decides to go with the fiberwerks nose needs help, just let me know and i'll do my best.
Here are some pictures of my bumper so far.

Welcome to the list. It's good to not be the only Mainer here. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
