Couple of Questions
Today I decided to investigate my broken odometer in my 87 924s and it turns out it was the red gear, so I moved it over and it seems to work fine. However, after reinstalling the gauges the light on the Speedo don't work. The light on the other two gauges are fine, but the Speedo ones are out. I'm 99% positive they are plugged in correctly, but could swapping which bulb went were cause an issue? They appeared identical. I find it hard to believe that both bulbs went out at the same time. Any ideas other than switching the bulbs?
Also, it has been raining all day here and the car was outside. When I took the car for a test drive after putting everything back it made a high pitched squealing noise when I took a right turn from a stop. It only did it once and never did it before, so I don't know if it is the rain, or coincidence, but any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help!

someone on the list was talking about making a lighting upgrade for our insterment clusters. Last I heard he was droping the project so I think I might pick it up. The new bright LED's are quite neet and are more than enough to bring our cluster lighting up to date. maybe I will get on it in the next few weeks.

That would be great. The lighting, at least in the early dash, just sucks. Its even worse now that I don't have any speedo lights <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

The obvious answer is to pull the speedo, remove the bulbs, check the bulbs, check the sockets for voltage, and then put in new bulbs because they're only a buck a piece anyway.

Good news: I went over some railroad tracks, at night, and the light came back on. Also, no more noises so I think I'm all set. Thanks for the replies.
