Found a way to lose some more weight and strengthen it a bit more last night. It will delay the welding party for a couple of days while we make some revised parts.
After several questions, the "battlebot" in the picture is a scale russian tank made from aluminum and radio controlled. So I guess it could be termed a "battlebot" but this one carries a gun (uses wax bullets though).

Why not make it telescopic to save all that hassle when doing the clutch??
NOPE - lateral thinking - there's still the centre drive propshaft- stupid of me. perhaps make that telescopic too.

That...would SELL...and I would buy one! With the appropriate discount of course! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

From what I've been able to determine, the driveshafts are all 25mm from the early 944 throug the 951. Don't know about the S, shouldn't be a problem though. I can adjust for nearly any concievable diameter.
