There are quite a few of us in the NOVA / southern MD areas... there were regular GTGs in Rockville for a while, not sure if Steve is still putting them on, or if people got sick of the photo ticketing machines around Rockville....

There's a Facebook group for local 944 owners. The most active group is, of course, the local PCA, and they will grudgingly allow 944s to show up.

Local forum is www.dorkiphus.net. If interested, join, pay the cheap fee, and try it out. The members can be a bit clubby/exclusive but like me, if you spend 3 or 4 years building up credibility and goodwill, they may not treat you like butt crack lint.

Yea I just found the local 944 facebook page. There was a nice turnout at the Reston Town Center Porsche Car Show. Met a few 944 guys, and learned about the Facebook page.

Is everyone here members of this Facebook Page (Porsche 924/44/68 & 28 Club for Northern VA, MD, & DC)?

http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/...1873713&ref=mf

If not, you should be! If your not on Facebook, this is a good reason to create a <secret> profile...

The page is setup to organize small peaceful gatherings of us! (us = 944 owners in VA, MD, & DC!)

As for Hanging out in Ballston: If any of you gentlemen do Happy Hours after work; let me know, and we can throw back a couple beers and talk about how great our cars are/ or any issues our cars are having ...

WCFROG: If you work in Ballston you seem like a Prime Happy Hour Canidate!

Bill Lucas: Reston Town Center! Did you make it out to the Porsche Gathering last weekend?

Ummm, no.

Never going to use Facebook again, never never never...

Post the GTGs here, and I might just turn up at one... I had been going to the ones in Gaithersburg, and actually made it to the 944 Fest this year!

I was not at the gathering. My weekends are pretty busy in the fall. I have Ohio State football season tickets so I'm in Columbus a lot during the fall.

I'm still sorting out my 944 S2. I think I've solved my main problem so now I need to get it registered again and inspected. Now I need to decide whether I want to attack the infinite list of things that still need addressed or if I want to sell it and move on. I have a 2005 Cayenne so I'd still be a member of the Porsche family.

I joined the fb group. I also live right near the City Grille, though I've never been there. Hope to make the next event there.

PNBELL,
Shoot me a pm with contact info. I'm always up for a few before I get on the VRE.
