Default clicking sound at front of driveshaft.

hey guys,
I'm new to Porsches and just bought my first one just over a week ago.
it's an 87 base model with a 5 speed and 151k miles.
I drove the car a little after I bought it and noticed a metallic clicking sound after I shift and let the clutch out.
the car is in my garage now and I'm doing a tune up.

I noticed that when I have the car jacked up and I spin the rear wheel forward I hear that sound once...then when I spin it backwards, I hear it again.
sounds like it's up front at the torque tube.

I have been building NG Saabs for the last few years and am LOST when it comes to this car.
does anyone have any ideas what this could be??
I'm ordering a manual tomorrow after work but would like to know what else I might have to order with that :P
thanks in advance,
Jon
