Post Grundy Insurance??

Anyone with these blokes. Im still shopping for insurance. Their terms appears to be very competitive. My 951 at 15K value was $245/yr on their quickie calculator and that included no mileage limits and a 500,000 comp/collision policy.

Anyone with these guys and have an opinion on them? Anyone who had to submit a claim to them? Thats the real litmus test.

Weird. That's the same price they gave me for my S2 and my Explorer when I put the info in on their web site.

Zero deductable and 500K on both for only $245/month.

Very interesting. I'm going to check their web site out a bit more.

I tried to get a policy with them for my 951. They said they wouldn't do it if I used the car for "errands". Apparently, they don't want you actually driving the car is the impression I got.

That's kind of the feeling I got too.

Anyways I just emailed them to find out for sure. I told them I drive 22 miles one way to work. (Which I do) They'll probably laugh when they get my email.

Here's the responce I got back. I guess you can say their web site is a tad misleading. Cuz they don't want to touch the newer cars.

Thank You for contacting GRUNDY WORLDWIDE's web site. Unfortunately, we are unable to insure porsches model year 1974 or newer unless the vehicle is part of a collection of collector cars. Best of luck in your search for proper coverage on your vehicle.

Have you tried Leland-West? They're in Pano! I have them, but they do limit you on the use, which is ok by me because for a while she'll mostly be setting :-(

Ive got a local agent who write policies from American Collector Insurance. I think I will be going that route when its all said and done. It just takes so long for them to review the apps and approve you or not so my Porsche will sit parked and uninsured for a week or two.
