You are supposed to call 6 weeks in advance for the tour. I went a few months ago and the museum was closed for renovation, but I think that it opened back up in march.
I didn't have reservations when i went. I just showed up and the lady worked my friend and me in. A little smile and a wink of the eye will get you a long way... jk.
As far as the nurnbergring thing goes... is that still happening. I'd like to go. I'm not sure how it is for normal people(non mil), but you can rent cars here at 18. There are quite a few places that rent nice cars and as long as you are careful on the ring all should go well.

I will try my best to be there. Send me an email when it gets closer or call me at 06374-802759 once you get in Germany. I will be driving a '85 US spec 944. You can't miss the big bumpers

Excellent, I may get Shelby, My wife, to drive the Miata too. The turbo kit will be done by then.

I prefer small villages and just look for those "Zimmer frei" signs.
Wish i could join you guys this trip. Unfortunately our little son Arno(4 months) is just too young for such a trip
But next year we are going to have our annual Germany-Austria-Swizerland tour for sure <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Sami,
while you are down there, check out that Deutsche Alpen Strasse. It's one of the best routes you can ever drive with your 951!

An opportunity to lose them presented itself and I jumped on it. Looks like I'll be running some 18's instead... (ok, time to admit, 19" really sucks on these cars - but hey, at least it's doable!)
Also that An Der Nordschleife hotel plan bombed but I've got that covered now too

COol,,, I will also be there late june, will also be going to the nurburgring, maybe i can also meet you there. I wont be in my 951 however as the car will be back in the US. Will probably be in a ... peugeut 106, or a smart hehe or something cool like that while I drive the nurburgring....I'll miss my car. I will be in Germany comming from Poland and heading towards france from June 22 to July 1st, and will have a car for that week. The Formula one GP of nurburgring will be that weekend on the 29th and I'll probably be there also. Whats the best way to contact you?

Michael, sent you an e-mail...
Dunno if we're actually able to make it on tuesday evening, depends entirely on how long the drive from Travemunde takes. Wednesday we'll definately be there.
Any other rennlisters somewhere around there on those dates?? It would be nice to hang out for a while
