well guys i adjusted the spring 4 teeth in the loosening direction and the nox went down to roughly 600ppm but the co & hc went up twice the allowable amount, so i guess i'll have to cut back on the spring a couple of teeth and retest and keep the fingers crossed

I just remembered another trick. I had a car that failed emissions every year, finally I had my wife (who at the time was my 22 year old girlfriend) take it for inspection, in a short skirt. It passed, the following year I learned the alcohol trick, then I got rid of it.
