Ribs, I just received 29mm Torsion bars and 350# springs from paragon, and hopefully they'll be on by the end of the weekend. I'll let you know how "harsh" of a ride I think it is. I'll be lowering the front about 1.5", and the rear prolly 2" (maybe 2.5").

Reality check - I had 28mm and #275 on my 86 951 with yellow/yellow. Compared to a stock 951 the ride was very hard. After a while you start developing lots of squeaks and groans. My buddy owns it now and even with stock sways it rides incredibly hard compared to my 89. Unless the car was a track car, I wouldn't do it again.

A fellow Rothmans car owner has 400 # fronts and 30 mm rear torsions, set up for the track only.
His opinion? If he had to do it all over again he would go for a rear helper spring set up and a slightly softer ride.
Your dentist will appreciate replacing the loose fillings. <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />

Actually the shocks and their damping settings makes a bigger difference in ride-comfort than the springs. I know some guys with 600/500-lb/in springs in their cars and it really does ride quite smoothly.
