Post optional tires for 15" PD

I have an 86 944 n/a and I would like to put wider rubber on the 15" Phone dials. can you put 225/60 or 225/50 without having rubbing problems?
the stock size is 215/60
thanks in advance, Jay

the 225 60s look a little fat. there is no rubbing, but you might want to go for a little lower sidewall. i'm using 225 60 (yokohamas) and if i buy tires for these wheels (cookie c.) in the future, i would get either 225 55 or 50. it comes down to your driving preference.
