My fans only come on when I turn on my AC. So is my switch bad??? a guy had me order one and I was looking to see what size socket I need for removal today but saw something that made me hing it maybe something else. If notis the socket needed for the job 24mm or is it a 30mm?? Or do I have a diferent issue?? The only way I can drive it around town is to run the AC.

 

Your fan switch on the radiator is probably bad. I had same problem and I don't quite remember what size socket it was but you will also need to take your fan shroud off.

Are you talking about the thermofan switch? if so, its a 29mm
