so engine was out and friend pushed on the clutch pedal by mistake. thinking it super extended the clutch slave. ugh. so trying to push it back...nada. open bleed screw and push it back...nada.
do i have to remove the slave and put it on the vise or something? or is it guaranteed f*ed and i should be ordering new one now.

You might have buggered the internal seal, but SHOULD be able to push it back together... remove the entire piece from the car and try to re-assemble on the bench...
Just like rebuilding using a rebuild kit... just be careful as the older the seals get, they degrade, and swell... it MIGHT not be able to be put back together without it leaking... even if it didn't leak before it was blown apart by your friend...

Replacement slave is easier, but you should be able to get a rebuild kit... if you can find one...

In the first instance, I'd just try to push it in by bolting it into the bellhousing with the clutch installed, pushing on the clutch fork and diaphram spring.
If it is fubared, I wouldn't bother with a reseal kit -- just buy a new one, they are not expensive.

I would just try a slave rebuild kit. Most NAPA have them for about $22 +-.
Pull the front clip away and look at the bore. If it is smooth and not pitted---just rebuild.

When I changed my clutch last year, I bought a new clutch master and slave. I took apart the master and it was filled with crud and the bore pitted. I took apart the slave and it was clean and the bore shinny with no pits.
944online (sponsor) has the kits for $24
