Question Aftermarket Bodywork

Does anyone have any experience with fixing aftermarket body work? Especially, GT-Racing and Better Bodies panels. I'm looking to put a 'custom' GT-Racing fiberglass bodykit on my 944... yeah, the one with the V8!!! (when I get it... ). I've been talking with my boss, who worked for years at a body shop and he was saying that the doors, bumper, fenders, rockers, and like pieces aren't a big deal, but roofs and quarterpanels will eat you alive. I've had this confirmed by a couple other friends, too.

I know aftermarket bodies are a little japanese import car-ish, but I really like some of GT-Racing and Better Bodies panels. Will I be able to fit the hood, bumper, valance, fenders, door skins, rockers and spoiler myself? What about the 1/4-panels?

Thanks in advance.

JonDawg,

I recently purchased a nose panel from a retailer that I won't mention, yet, and it turns out it was produced by Better Bodies. Well, the particular part I wound up getting could not be fit. Based on my experience, not that all the stuff would be bad, I would try something else. Enough said.
