How do you put a picture right in your message instead of having a hyperlink for it.

 

When you are filling out the form for a new post under your text entry box you will find 10 grey rectangular boxes. One of them says "IMAGE". Click it and put in the correct name of the website that links to the picture. When your post loads the image will appear in the exact place you put it in your text. Hope this helps.

 

so you need a website? can't you just upload a pic to the page.

 

There are two ways to do it. One way is the way just stated. The other way is to upload a picture with rennlist and place it in your post. Do a search and you should find out how to upload a pic.

At the top of your screen you should see "upload photo", click on it and follow the instructions. If you have previously used a hyperlink, just select "image" instead of "url"

 

The easiest way to post a picture is to store the image on the Rennlist Server. This is done by selecting "Upload Photo" from the tool bar at the top of the Rennlist Frame (look up - third one from left ). When you click on "Upload Photo" you will be instructed on how to store an image from your computer to the Rennlist Server. Once you have stored the image on the server you will see a URL address that identifies the location of the uploaded photo. Copy this address as you will need it in the next step.

When you post a reply or a topic post there is an area under the box where you write the messages call "Instant UBB Code" (look down). In this area is a button called "IMAGE" (bottom right). When you select this button you will be asked to enter a URL. This is where you enter the URL address where the picture is stored. Once you do this, your image will appear in the post.

It's really quite simple once you get the hang of it.

 

Thanks guys. But the pics I took were too big. The rennlist server only allows 180 kb. I took the pics with a digital camera and they are about 1mb each. oh well.
