Post 944 to 968 Conversion is a go!

Since the Callaway project is essentially finished, time for a new way to spend time

1994 968 engine is on its way from Germany and should be here next week. It will be installed into a 1987 944S that decided to throw a rod through the side of the block. We had already picked up a complete 944S engine to replace it with when we decided to go with the 968 conversion, so that motor is now available for $1000 if anyone is interested.
I'll let everyone know how it turns out in a couple of weeks

Excellent! Let us know what you decide to do about the clutch/bellhousing/torque tube components. Have fun.

The 968 engine was purchased complete with clutch, bellhousing and torque tube so that should solve the issue I believe. We will be using the stock 944S trans.

Hey Todd,

I live on Cape Cod and am wondering if I could come up and take a look at what you are doing. I am thinking of doing the same conversion.

Thanks,

Jeff
