I just bought my 951 last week, so don't have too much info for you. The shop I have found is called PAS (321 W Palmer St (704) 332-9845). I just bought some misc parts from them, and their garage had 4 cars it, all Porsches (a good sign). Don't know of others yet.

Thumbs up

The BEST place in Charlotte is Jim Burton @ Eurowerks. He's just moved to new shop on Independence, out past 485. (very close to Brother's Mercedes)

His new number is 704-882-6466. He was a factory technician for 19 years, is more personally involved, and a heck of a lot nicer than any of the other guys. Did I mention that he is honest? Don't even get me started on the other guys...

I've used PAS before - and I wouldn't hesitate to use them as a backup to Jim if I had a problem with my car that I couldn't deal with (not likely). The problem with them, however, is I'm never sure who will wrench on my car.

Go visit Jim, even if don't require work at the moment - he's a really nice guy - let him know you are in the area and into your Porsche. It'll be worth your time, I promise!

If for some reason you do not click with Jim Burton (I trust Keith’s judgment <img src="graemlins/r.gif" border="0" alt="[king]" /> ), you could try:

Touring Car, Inc.
Dan Middleton
704-821-7023

He races an older 944 and he always does my tech inspections for PCA Drivers Ed events for free.
