Default need help pulling bearings out.

I have taken the front hub out and i need to get the rear seal/ race / bearing out and also the front race.

I looked on clarks but it doesn't really help me much because i'm not sure where exactly to put the punch and also what size punch to use..... i'm scared i'll score the inside of the hub and ruin the hub.

Wipe the grease out of the inside and you'll see a larger ID slot cast into the hub.

Place punch there.

To remove the seal, reassemble everything loosely without the outer bearing, catch the inner bearing on the preload adjuster split nut and yank outward, away from the spindle.

thanks i'll check inside for the slot. I did clean the inside with brake clean.

preload adjuster nut? sorry i'm confused.

if anyone has pics that would hel a lot.

I looked on youtube theres a guy that shows how to do it on a turbo but you can't see where he places the punch.

also he uses a vice to hold the hub so you are not hammering on the studs and he heats the hub with a torch. I don't have a torch or a vice so I thought I may not be able to do it myself.

I used a big punch, through the center of the hub on the edges of the races. Heating up the hub helps a lot!

For reinstallation, freeze the races and put the hubs in an oven at 250 for a half hour and then use a seal driver to seat them. They should drop right in.

haha thanks guys. I ended up brining my 2 hubs with my new parts to a shop close by and they charged me 50 bucks to replace bearings in both hubs. not bad saved me a lot of time....... putting parts in the oven and freezer sounds like fun but the shop gave me back my hubs with new bearings within an hour.

now I just got ot put it back on the car.

one question, I removed on caliper cus I was going to replace it but I couldn't get teh right caliper from the parts store so I'm putting it back on but i'm wondering if I just need to bleed that one caliper or all 4?

thanks.
