Post 3-point seatbelts with racing seats?

I'm curious if the stock 3-point seatbelts in the 944 series cars can be used with most racing seats (e.g. Recaro, Sparco). Since some of these have relatively deep buckets, I was thinking that the sides of the seat may prevent the lap belt from staying in contact with my body while driving.

To manage the budget, I was thinking about first getting the seats in "phase I." "Phase II" would add the rollbar/harness bar & 5/6 point harnesses.

Thanks,
-MDW

Yes, you can still use the OE 3-pt belts. The only change is that the OE inboard belt is mounted to the original seat base. You will need to drill a hole in the tunnel, or use a seat base plate that comes supplied with the inboard seat belt mounting tab. I have the Sparco Evo2's, and the OE seat belts work fine. I would imagine most, if not all, of the racing buckets would not impede the OE seatbelts.

Good Luck!
