Default DME Harness connection- Electrical help

Guys,
Here is my issue.

I have an 84 944 am using an 88 motor and want to use my 88 DME/AFM/Injectors. I have 84 harness in the car now. Used to run a 87 harness, but that go old and has problems. So I replaced it with a spare 84 harness. Car runs fine.

My problem is that due to pin change my altitute sensor will not work right. So above 3280 feet it will be rich. I need to get tapped in to the 30 pin on the DME to get it the Alt sensor signal. However unless I tear into the harness how do it do that? The 84 harness does not use a 30 pin.

Advice needed.

Why not try to use the DME FQS selector to see if it will lean it out enough? Positions #4 and #8 should lean the mixture a bit... #4 is no ignition change, #8 is -3 deg ignition... IIRC

I have considered FQS switch.
POS 0 = Strock = full counter clockwise.

POS 2 = -3% fuel, stock ignition = what is postion 2? 2 Turns? I am not sure.

The problem is that it only gets me 1/2 way.
