Default clutch master cylinder plunger clip

How the heck do you disconnect this? I can barely see it when I crawl upside down under the foot well. I can get my hands on the clip but can't figure out how it actually comes off. Any tips would be appreciated. I've tried finding something with search but didn't really find anything on the removing the clip. I read up on Clark's and Pelican Tech but still not sure how this thing is removed.

Got it. Not an easy task. Probably will be harder to get it back in. Broke nipple of the reservior. Had to order more parts. When will it ever end! I just want to drive it!
