Default Brake fluid change

I will be changing the brake lines and flushing the brake/clutch fluid, (do not know when the PO did it last not in the records) and want to know does any one make 2 different color brake fluids so next time I can just switch (brand XYZ blue and brand XYZ gold, both DOT) so I can just change flush in the future with out a problem. And does the clutch have to be flushed each time or can that go a few years between flushing? DOT 3 or 4? I know every one has their favorite but this is for my daily hard driver.
thanks

James,

I remove (suck) all of the fluid from the reservior first and wipe out all of the sediments with a nice clean rag so that I have a nice clean fluid to work with and then start belleding at the back corner to remove the majority of the old fluid and then work my way forward. I have a HUGE vacuum bleeder so it really makes this kind of task very easy.

I have 2 power bleeders, 1 for blue and 1 for gold, annual fluid changes of both the brakes and clutch on all 4 of my cars. If I start tracking my 951 I will put in fresh fluid prior to each track event.

Doing annual changes prevents water from building up in the fluid and corroding the brakes from the inside out... just ask any track rat what happens when a brake line ruptures on the track... I had one on a subaru I used to drive rupture on the street, it isn't pretty, nor is it a fun ride...
