Whats the hotel situation in your neck of the woods? At this point, I will probably be in my 968, and my significant other is not a real good sport when it comes to "roughing it", so camping is out of the question (um, she puts up with me and my bad habits, so its a small price to pay... lol).

Since I am cancelling on Tweeks again this year, this is probably going to be my "big" Porsche event for the summer, unless I decide to get serious about putting together a "Lake of the Ozarks" run for the midwest crowd.

Regards,

Scott-

My folks are building a Palacial Estate on lakefront property in the Ozarks. Another 2 years and they should be settled in. I know my father would love to have a GTG, so if you want to put heads together down the road, we could make one hell of an event.

Not sure on the hotel thing... but 71 is a high traffic highway, so I am sure there are some Red Roof Inns somewhere close.

We've got a Econo Lodge about 2 miles from show center. BUT.. the place is marginal. No pool, nothing fancy at all. Within 10 or 12 miles is a pack of Motel/Hotels, If you want something nicer with a pool and stuff. As Perry said, I'm just off 71 at the 30 intersection. The group of "better" hotels is near 71 and 97, in Lexington, OH, about 15 minutes south of me. If anybody wants a phone # of the lodgings, e-mail me with a request and I'll get them for you.

Dan,

Will you add me to the mailing list as well, i'm going to try to get the monday after off work so I can head up that way. (well hopefully the 951 will be back on the road by then, I have a long way to go from where the car sits right now).

But If I can make it i'll make the trip from NC sans AC, in sparco Race buckets, not being able to hear the radio because of a nasty hatch rattle.....

When are the confirmation emails going out? I'm still working on trying to get there (may have family get-together that weekend).

Wow, this has morphed from an Ohio GTG to an Eastern USA GTG.

Dan, can you handle the awesome responsibility?!?

I feel the weight.. But that's OK.. I think I've got the resources to pull it off. A big yard, an empty house, $$$ for food and beer, an understanding and supportive wife (who will be 8+ months prego at the event) and a bunch of friends who really like their 944s.. what more could I ask? I'll send out an e-mail invite early June, say around 1 month to go to get a feel for attendance. I'd like to announce Rennlist has come aboard as an official sponsor, Jen has kindly offered a few shirts for prizes. (I didn't really even solicit! She OFFERED! WOW!) I'll give first pick of the shirts to the longest distance traveled for the event. Any guesses how far? I'll have to figure out how to plug a logo at the front of the video.
As you all may know, I'll be moving out of this house mid-June, and I was worried what I'm going to do for a fridge for the event.. and then the seller of my new home called and told me he's leaving his behind..so I've got a spare! I hope the rest of the arrangements go as easy. My biggest worry is rain, but with a large empty house, a garage spot for Perry.. it won't be an issue if we do get wet. I don't know about you all, personally I can't wait!!

Brian deserves that garage spot! He has put a lot of hours into that car and should so receive a nice gesture like that! Can't wait to see it!

i'm actually considering going even though i couldn't get it together to go to the massachusetts meet yesterday, this seems like more of an adventure :-p

wow, i'd have to get so much fixed on my car before i let you guys see it, you'd think i was the most illiterate college student beating the crap out of his car ever.... but what an excuse to buy cryo rotors... hmm...
